Moms, Pops, & Tots: Family Music Classes

Our family music class has been designed for parents and children to experience the joys of music making together! In MOMS, POPS, & TOTS, you and your child will strengthen your bond through singing, dancing, and playing different instruments. We also incorporate basic sign language vocabulary to stimulate non-verbal communication both in and outside of class!

Studies confirm that music promotes learning. Children exposed to music show advanced verbal skills, improved coordination, as well as enhanced spatial relations and social skills. Not to mention, having music in your life makes everything more fun!

Check out a few of our favorite activities below we like to use in class. There will of course be repeated activities each week so the little ones can grow and learn through recognition. But there will also be surprise activities along the way, too!

"I started hosting these classes when my 14 year old daughter was a baby. I was able to trick her into doing them for about 3 extra years by making her "my assistant". She was around 7 years old when I retired the classes.
I am so excited to be holding MOMS, POPS, & TOTS at my studio again!
I j
ust love these classes so much!"

Scarves are an easy and fun way to tie in a visual element of multiple senses and movement. Children can visualize and feel musical concepts as they listen and learn.

Playing with bubbles during music time is such a fun, tactile experience. Usually you will see all kinds of different reactions: vocalization, sign language, eye contact, smiling, and  of course laughter to name a few.

Shakers are a multi sensory learning tool because they provide auditory stimulation. We love music and movement with our shakers!
